History has always been the only subject you have never grasp upon, too say at least it never once caught your interest since the beginning. The beginning of civilizations, titans, culture, politics, and wars never seems to bring sparks at your attention.
That's why it never surprised you when you were called to the faculty for the revaluation of your grade for that subject, a remedial exam would take place weeks from now. Which is the reason why you stood outside of a secluded building almost at the outskirts of campus, surrounding the Library where nothing but plain terrain.
Entering the old infrastructure, greeting the old lady by the counter, before being welcome by a display of countless shelves in every corner of your sight. The sound of clattering heels on the ground remains the only sound scattering in the hall as you search through different shelves of the History Section, looking for a specific book tackling the details of event during the Uprising period, since it's the only topic you haven't studied yet due to the lack of references.
A couple more minutes of scouring numerous bookshelves before finally giving up, you wouldn't be able to find that book on your own as there are more than 10 bookshelves to search for, you would lose your mind first searching this sea of shelves before finding that book.
"that old lady might be able to help me" sighing to yourself, already feeling tired for the day. as you head back to the entrance hall. To be fair, despite being a century old building the architectural detail given for the interior were well thought out. The high ceiling were made out of a different glass shards creating an image, image that creates a story once connected to the lancet window of the old library.
"My love" a foreign voice echoed inside the hall as you were about to leave, before you could turn to see the owner of the voice, a firm chest met your back as an arm already wrapped around your waist, which you instinctively slapped off your figure. Giving you a chance to slip away from his hold, facing the stranger who invaded your personal space.
The man stands in a dusty knee high leather boots, straps covering the pristine white pants with a hip length deep green cloak covering the rest of his upper figure with a familiar badge on his shoulder, the same badge you only encountered on the printed pages of your book since grade school.
You watched how the raven haired man's expression fell, under his breath you heard him grumbled to himself taking you by surprise.
"Wait, what do you mea---"
Just like how he appeared, he was gone before you could even bat an eye, like a bubble pops off the air leaving no trace of his existence once in for all. At least that what you thought..
Hours after such a questionable encounter, only then it had struck you. The familiar badge, the dusty costume from a millennium and finally the raven haired man.
Flipping through the familiar pages as the words from the passed pages become hazy wanting nothing but to confirm your thoughts once in for all.
The renowned veteran soldier who was able to survive from the war against the titans to the Battle of Heaven and Earth on his time.
There he was the same man who stood before you not so long ago. Now sat among his comrades, unlike before scars litters his face, his gaze that holds warmth during your brief encounter where now left with cold lifeless stare.
